The inspiration for the PIKE Christmas Collection 2017.

Hi everyone

It is October already, and I am excited to tell you we have just launched this year’s Christmas Collection!

The PIKE Christmas Collection 2017

The PIKE Christmas Collection 2017.

You may remember that since opening at Highgate we have created a range of jewellery especially for Christmas each year. We have researched what we think customers will like, what they will wear, what they can add to, and what they would like to buy for others. Hopefully this year’s collection will tick some of those boxes!

This year’s inspiration came from a sketch I did in February this year – some of you may have seen the post on Instagram or in one of our newsletters:

The original sketch.

The original sketch.

I drew a scatter of leaves, each in a simple cut-away style showing the veins and outer edges of the leaves and incorporating a small diamond in each. The sketch got a very positive response and some months later a friend and client ordered a sterling silver one for his wife, personalised with the incorporation a pink gold setting and a beautiful Burmese ruby. This drawing is one of my favourites and I was excited it was ordered and we made it a reality! His wife was thrilled and she wears it every day.

For the Christmas Collection this year, I have used this original leaf idea and created two sizes, which gives a choice of a smaller or larger leaf.

I have also created the same two leaf sizes set with a small diamond – something for everyone. They can be worn individually, or as a group, layered, as I have drawn in the original sketch.

I really like the openness of the design which gives the leaf a light look, and for those of you who like diamonds, you can choose one with a ‘dew drop’ on surface.

They will be available in Sterling Silver and a lovely sterling silver chain is included with each one.

The leaf design also lends itself to the addition of gems or white, pink or yellow golds. I can sketch these for you and they can be ordered as special commissions as part of the PIKE Signature Service. This enables the leaf you choose to be a one-off design and truly yours – I have included some options to tempt you:

These are just a few examples of you how you can personalise the pendant – the choices are only limited by our imaginations! I would love you to help you personalise yours. We can also offer special orders of matching earrings:

The Collection will be available in the studio from November 6th – email me at hello@pike.com.au or simply pop in if you would to see some more ideas, I’d love to help!

Until next month

Love
