Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds!

We love waiting to see what jewellery people wear to the Oscars, and the 2016 Academy Awards did not disappoint. It was a sea of beautiful diamond jewellery, with many pairs of long earrings, stunning necklaces and a few pieces worth over $8 million dollars! Here are a few of our favourites:

Cate Blanchett chose these delicate Tiffany and Co drop earrings, a starfish bracelet and a beautiful ring (images: indesign.jewelry.com).

Julianne Moore continued her relationship with Chopard, wearing their diamond earrings, bold diamond cuff and ring to accessorise her elegant, black gown (images: RexFeatures and indesign.jewelry).

And then there were the pieces that focused purely on big diamonds. Lorraine Schwartz provided jewellery for two women in particular this year, and they both featured huge rocks! Priyanka Chopra and Lady Gaga both wore earrings that were reportedly worth $8 million a pair (images: RexFeatures)…

Not everyone chose diamonds – there were some beautiful precious coloured gemstones as well.

Saoirse Ronan wore a pair of beautiful Chopard drop earrings made of emerald, jadeite, pearl and diamond mismatched earrings (image: gemobsessed.com).
